Commissions
Commissions will open Tuesday September 10 at 11am EST 2024.
How to order:
First come first served basis. Place your order in my online shop by paying in full to guarantee your spot for commissioned artwork to be complete and delivered before Christmas 2024.
Commissions will close as soon as my books are full. In previous years commissions sell out in a few hours. Please place your order as soon as commissions open and refresh your page at 11am EST.
The price list for available commission sizes, shapes, and wood types will be released 1 week prior via email to my mailing list subscribers. Prices and wood selection for commissions will be made public online in my shop as soon as my commissions open.
About commissions:
Each commission is hand-burned by woodburning artist, Court O’Reilly.
Custom artwork can be any photo(s) of your choice or any art idea you have in mind. Court will be able to create your artwork vision. You may also choose to blend multiple photos together into one art piece to create an image with all your pets or family members on one slice of wood. ALL commissions are discussed via email to ensure placement and visual of the art is exactly how you want it on the wood before any burning begins. Court will create and send you a digital draft image of the custom artwork on your selected wood size for you to approve before she begins burning. You may make any changes to each digital draft until the artwork is just right for you.
About the wood
Rustic, live-edge and high quality alder wood and birch wood will be available in a variety of sizes. Each size, type, and shape of wood will have a flat rate for the commissioned artwork you desire.
Finishing touches:
It is optional for no extra cost to…
include a inscription on the back of the wood such as a name(s), date, location, and/or short quote.
install a small hook in the back of the wood to mount the artwork flat on a wall.
convert the wood to an ornament style with twine.
There is a form to fill out when you add the item to your cart to customize the finishing touches to the artwork.
After you place an order:
After you have placed an order for your desired size and shape of wood, please send an email with your photo(s) and art ideas to info@hippienorth.com or reply directly to the confirmation email you will receive after you’ve made a purchase. High quality photos guarantee maximum realistic details in the artwork. Please include a description of any customizations or additions you’d like in the final artwork. Court is happy to discuss the artwork before she begins creating a digital draft for you!
Please note that when you place an order you will be put into a commission line. Court will send you an email with an approximate start date of your artwork. She will also email you the day she begins your artwork and send you photo updates as she progresses through the artwork. When the artwork is complete she will send you a final photo of the art for you to approve before it is mailed out to you.
Payment:
Payment is in full and in Canadian dollars. International orders are accepted. If you are purchasing outside of Canada your method of payment (credit card company, bank, Apple Pay or PayPal) will automatically convert your currency to Canadian dollars.
Refunds:
Full refunds are accepted before commissioned artwork begins. Refunds will not be accepted after burning your artwork begins.
Delivery:
Free porch pick up in Cobourg, Ontario (cash option available upon request, please email info@hippienorth.com). Ships Canada Post. Tracking included .Canada delivery 1-7 days. USA delivery 3-10 days. International delivery 1-3 weeks. If delivery to your country is unavailable upon checkout please send an email to Court at info@hippienorth.com to inquire. Some countries have strict import policies on wood and Court will double check the policies and add your country for eligible delivery.
Import duties and taxes may apply to orders outside of Canada.
